Soma: A muscle relaxant to treat muscle spasms and stiffness
Soma is a muscle relaxant. It is used in the treatment of stiff muscles due to injury and other muscle spasms and sprains. Do not double your dose if you have missed one. Preferably, take Soma with food or milk in case it upsets your stomach. Soma is not recommended for anyone under the age of 12.
Always be careful when driving or using dangerous machinery. Drowsiness is a side effect, so alcohol should also be avoided as this will increase drowsiness. Follow directions carefully and avoid using this drug with other medications – always seek a doctor’s advice.
Soma is used to treat muscle spasms, muscle injuries that cause stiffness in the muscles and joints. It is not advisable to take this drug with other antibiotics that are used for hypertension, kidney or liver problems, heart ailments or thyroid. Always take your doctor’s advice so that he can reduce your dose and adjust your medication.
Soma is a drug that is taken orally. The usual adult dose is taken three times every day and at bedtime. The tablet is 350 grams. This drug is not advised for anyone under the age of 12. Soma should be taken along with milk or food as it can cause a stomach upset.
If a dose is missed, take another one within the hour. If you have forgotten a dose, do not double it, but continue your usual dose according to schedule.
In case of an overdose, seek medical aid when you experience symptoms of low blood pressure, fatigue, shortness of breath and faintness.
Soma should not be taken if you have porphyria. If you have kidney or liver ailments, heart disease, chest pain or any other medical problems, inform your physician. A lower dose may be prescribed and your condition may need to be monitored. Inform your doctor if you are breast-feeding or pregnant.

This could take place within the first or fourth dose, particularly in patients who have not had the drug previously. Skin rash and pruritus are also symptoms of reaction to the drug. Severe reactions include fever, asthma, fatigue, giddiness, smarting eyes, hypertension and shock.
